An Example
Our efforts on your behalf might take form as a Briefing Series designed to eliminate the questions, concerns – even fear – that your Employees, Partners, Prospective Customers, or Stakeholders may experience when they are first presented with a new situation, environment, technology, or program.
Another Scenario
Another example would be our work with you to document and if needed establish a stable, sustainable 360-degree Featureset and Operational Plan for your Technology (Website, Intranet, Extranet, Automation, BYOD, ...) Integration, Physical Plant Redevelopment, and other programs.
An Illustration
As an illustration, many organizations have invested significant resources in developing Intranets and Extranets. These online systems are wonderful tools for sharing information among cross-functional teams, workgroups, business partners, key customers, and stakeholders.
The Problem
Over time, however, managing the expansion of features, content, and user groups can become unwieldy – and sometimes much worse – and the Featureset Diagram – if an organization even has one – can end up resembling more of a silo'd patchwork quilt than a clearly defined flow of information.
The Solution
To correct this situation, we begin by focusing on your original goals for your Intranet or Extranet.
We then work with your Employees or Partners to find out how they use the tools you have provided.
Next, we identify the productivity enhancements your End Users would like to see and, in the process, we work toward identifying and eliminating productivity roadblocks and defining new or expanded features that would further increase the tool's value and usefulness.
In all cases we work with you to ensure that "feature creep" is reined and that appropriate Change Management procedures are respected or put in place if needed.
Where To Begin
Let us know what is sitting in your Inbox or is jotted on your "To Do" list we'll be happy to discuss how our services can help you achieve your goals.

MSDS Update 2012:
OSHABrief:
Hazard Communication Standard: Safety Data Sheets
OSHA.gov Publications OSHA3514
DSG BR-3514 2/2012
The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200(g)), revised in 2012, requires that the chemical manufacturer, distributor, or importer provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (formerly MSDSs or Material Safety Data Sheets) for each hazardous chemical to downstream users to communicate information on these hazards. The information contained in the SDS is largely the same as the MSDS, except now the SDSs are required to be presented in a consistent user-friendly, 16-section format. This brief provides guidance to help workers who handle hazardous chemicals to become familiar with the format and understand the contents of the SDSs.
The SDS includes information such as the properties of each chemical; the physical, health, and environmental health hazards; protective measures; and safety precautions for handling, storing, and transporting the chemical. The information contained in the SDS must be in English (although it may be in other languages as well). In addition, OSHA requires that SDS preparers provide specific minimum information as detailed in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.1200. The SDS preparers may also include additional information in various section(s).
Sections 1 through 8 contain general information about the chemical, identification, hazards, composition, safe handling practices, and emergency control measures (e.g., fire fighting). This information should be helpful to those that need to get the information quickly. Sections 9 through 11 and 16 contain other technical and scientific information, such as physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity information, toxicological information, exposure control information, and other information including the date of preparation or last revision. The SDS must also state that no applicable information was found when the preparer does not find relevant information for any required element.
The SDS must also contain Sections 12 through 15, to be consistent with the UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), but OSHA will not enforce the content of these sections because they concern matters handled by other agencies.
A description of all 16 sections of the SDS, along with their contents, is presented at OSHA Publication 3514

Reference Letter Excerpts
Citibank
"Christine's work here has shown her to be resourceful and innovative in her approach to meeting objectives....She has shown a strong ability to work through a project from start to finish, requiring only minimal supervision in between. The final project has always been delivered on-time, thoroughly complete, and incorporating new approaches in a meaningful way."
Prentice Hall
"...I would also like to commend you on the selection of Christine Maggio as the trainer for the Introduction portion. During the day and a half, she exhibited tremendous knowledge, enthusiasm, and patience for this project. Most impressive was her ability to talk 'with' the group, not down or to the group....She is no doubt a great benefit to those whom she trains."
Siemens
"Some of the qualities and skills [Christine] has shown include:
- 'The ability to distill different, sometimes conflicting, operating company objectives to develop and deliver an effective solution
- 'Presenting to the Steering Committee comprised of senior management from all of the Siemens U.S. companies to convey the value of intangibles offered by this project
- 'Flexibility, patience, tolerance, a sense of humor; the ability to adapt to evolving organization and changing demands while maintaining her focus on the project objectives
'It has been a pleasure working with Christine on a complex project that will have important ramifications for our company.'"
Schering-Plough Research Institute
"[I] was given individual instruction and technical support by Christine on numerous occasions. Her knowledge made it possible to streamline data input and reporting....Christine's help in building the MSDS database has opened up many new opportunities for [our division] to meet the needs of pharmaceutical production personnel."
Sony
"We have found that Ms. Maggio has exceptional ability in working with us to understand our specific needs....She is exemplary in her willingness to make whatever effort is required....At all times she remains cheerful and positive despite difficult work and changing requests."

Distressed Turnaround/
Economic Development
Human Resources Actual Costs
Timeline:
2009-2013; Ongoing
CONTEXT:
Incident during 1.0 Turnaround phase addressing serious turnaround "cleanup" issues, a process that was ultimately successful but which along the way required significant specific effort
NOTES:
Over the prior 10 years the same business in the same location under three separate operators went out of business three times but not only did "1.0" turn around, it also grew more than 250% without slashing prices, without aggressive marketing, without major capital investments in facility/equipment -- all accomplished by focusing on operations and operational issues -- through which process one night associates of a disgruntled former employee came into the business facility and in apparent retaliation did significant damage to the business facilities including kicking in sheet rock and tearing a sink/counter from the wall.

TAKEAWAY POINTS:
The "really real" business operating model must reflect not only the generally accepted, established, reasonable Costs Of Doing Business (facilities, equipment, utilities, payroll, insurances, regulatory compliance, etc.) but also:
(A) The actual overhead costs of addressing the actual operating dynamics and critically importantly particularly in severely economically distressed areas burdened with concomitant issues;
and
(B) Attempting to accomplish business turnaround and growth and possibly also wider scale economic development in places that suffer these dynamics with long-established intractable economic development challenges can be extremely resource intensive across all resource categories (Time, Talent/Labor, Capital);
and
(C) Challenges will only worsen if not embraced and then initially addressed swiftly and directly and then over time maintained actively and enthusiastically for the life of the entity in the affected operating environment

NOTES:
Our mounting a multi-session FOIL and Open Meetings training led to standing room only attendance for events held at a regional combined middle and high school media center, a sizeable venue, and the feedback from attendees was extremely positive with also Paper Of Record front page coverage including full color photos from the event. All excellent! However ... The event planners subsequently suffered severe retaliation.
TAKEAWAY:
It is critical that both professional and citizen reporters along with those who engage in advocacy and activism in support of these lawful activities not only benefit from but if in fact required then be able to depend upon ongoing technical and other support including defensive action against SLAPP suits and more.
